I was born in Morehead City, North Carolina and lived in Swansboro until age 10. From 10 to 16, I lived in Japan on a military base. In 2004, I graduated from New Bern High School. For the past 10 years, I have worked at Lowes Home Improvement and slowly earned my undergraduate degree from ECU. In December 2013, I graduated with a BSBA in Management, and in January 2014 started the MBA program. I have yet to decide on a concentration as I find comfort in keeping my options open, waiting to see what the future holds for me.
When I am not studying, I enjoy cooking almost as much as I enjoy eating. The remainder of my spare time is spent working out and watching movies with my wife, Jordan, and my dog Scarlet. I am supported by my family, my wonderful wife, her family, and my dog.
I’m Katie and I am in my third year at East Carolina, studying Business Marketing for my undergraduate degree. I grew up in Raleigh, but have high hopes for life after college in a city like New York, Atlanta or San Francisco. I have a love for all things fashion, travel, dogs, and my Kindle. I intend to pursue a career in advertising after college, my focus being on the account management sector.
I will be writing a weekly blog about my life in ECU’s College of Business, and the ups and downs that entails.
I am Haley, an undergraduate senior Business Marketing Major from Raleigh, NC.
This semester, I will be writing a blog post once a week about the ins and outs of my everyday college experience.
