Nov 11, 2014: Faculty/Staff Professional Development: Managing the Gradebook in Blackboard at Speight Building

The Gradebook can seem a bit overwhelming initially, but if there is nothing else you use Blackboard for, you should use it to display grades for students. This can be difficult if you can't make heads or tails of how to actually weigh your grades. This session will show you the best way to add items to your Grades area, edit grades, view your grades, and go into how to create categories, move items into categories, create and use grading periods, how to use rubrics in Blackboard and the difference between the weighing options, and when to use what. This session is designed as a hands-on class, so please bring a laptop, and a class to work in.
