Getting into a Collaborate meeting – To enter a live Collaborate session, enter the Blackboard course in which the session will take place. Click on the Blackboard Tools link and select Blackboard Collaborate. Be sure that you are in the tab marked “Sessions”. You may need to change the date search to see the session that you wish to attend. Click on the meeting title to join. You will need Java on your computer to join a live Collaborate session. Java can be obtained by going to http://java.com/. Just click on “Free Java Download” and follow the prompts to install.

 Watching a pre-recorded Collaborate meeting – To watch a pre-recorded meeting, enter the Blackboard course in which the session was recorded. Click on the Blackboard Tools link and select Blackboard Collaborate. Next click on the tab marked “Recordings”.  You may need to change the date search to see the recording that you wish to view. Click on the recording’s title to watch the recording. You will need Java on your computer to watch a Collaborate recording. Java can be obtained by going to http://java.com/. Just click on “Free Java Download” and follow the prompts to install.
