An ECU student and his roommate were arrested Saturday and charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana and other charges by Greenville police.

Stuart Gregory Engledove, 20, of 2144 Silver Maple Lane and his roommate, Austin George Iessi, 19, were arrested at 6:09 p.m. Saturday after police found drug paraphernalia and more than 160 grams of marijuana in their Copper Beech apartment.

East Carolina University’s online directory showed Engledove is enrolled as a student.

Police seized iPhones, $63 in cash, digital scales, a grinder and glass smoking pipes. They also retrieved an HP laptop that was reported as being stolen.

Police seized green plant material found in plastic bags, glass jars and foil around the apartment as evidence.

Engledove was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance.

Iessi was charged with possession of stolen goods/property, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance.

He also has charges against him in Wake County for possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation, as well as an underage drinking charge in Pitt County.

Iessi’s convictions include using or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Engledove has a charge of underage drinking in Pitt County.

Both were held at the Pitt County Detention Center, with Engledove’s bond at $20,000 and Iessi’s bond at $25,000.
