Renee Richardson, an adult nurse practitioner, has joined the staff at East Carolina Neurology.
Originally from Tarboro, Richardson and her husband, Myron, now reside in Winterville. She earned her bachelor of science degree in health and exercise science at Wake Forest University and followed with admittance into the Alternate Entry MSN program at East Carolina University, where she received a registered nurse certification.
Richardson continued completed her master in nursing-adult nurse practitioner at ECU and began working at East Carolina Neurology in May.
Richardson has extensive experience in the medical field, formerly as a nurse and emergency/non-emergency transport paramedic. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the North Carolina Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Richardson is basic life support-certified and holds her North Carolina registered nurse and adult nurse practitioner licensures.
This fall, she and her husband will participate in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day in Atlanta, a 60-mile walk that raises funds and awareness for breast cancer.
