Alison B. Cieszko and Christopher L. Zachary have joined the medical staff of Vidant Cardiology-Greenville as a physician assistants.
Cieszko will specialize in the outpatient management of patients with heart failure at Vidant Cardiology’s heart failure clinic. She received bachelor of science degrees in physician assistant studies and exercise physiology from East Carolina University.
Cieszko previously worked as a physician assistant in the Department of Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Center at Physicians East and most recently served in Hematology/Oncology Inpatient Service at Vidant Medical Center.
“I am excited to join Vidant Cardiology, where I can continue to care for patients and be a resource for them,” Cieszko said.
Zachary is a graduate of the master of physician assistant (MPA) program at Eastern Virginia Medical School and also received a master of science degree in biomedical studies from that institution. He completed his undergraduate work at North Carolina State University.
Zachary is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
“I am excited to join the prestigious team of providers at Vidant Cardiology–Greenville,” Zachary said. “I am looking forward to helping them serve the needs of eastern North Carolina.”
Cieszko and Zachary join 10 physicians and three other mid-level providers at the Greenville facility, specializing in general and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and peripheral vascular disease.
With a staff of about 40 employees, Vidant Cardiology-Greenville sees about 63,000 patients annually in Ahoskie, Edenton, Greenville, Kenansville, Tarboro and Washington, N.C.
Vidant Cardiology is located at 850 W.H. Smith Blvd. in Greenville. Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
