East Carolina University will host an informational meeting on the N.C. Student Academy and a biodiversity scholarship at 10 a.m. on Sept. 21 in the Howell Science Complex, Room B103. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

The meeting will include details for middle and high school students and teachers about conducting science research. Sessions will help students in choosing a research topic and designing studies and will link students to research mentors. The meeting also will include information about a science competition for high school students conducting research projects on local plant and animal biodiversity.
