Because of the platform that is currently serving all ECU blogs, our WordPress installation is not able to automatically convert to Daylight Savings Time. To update your blog’s time, log in and go to your Dashboard. In the Settings tab, look for the General option. It looks like this in your Dashboard sidebar when expanded:

In the General Settings, you want UTC-4 for Eastern Daylight Savings Time and UTC-5 for Eastern Standard Time. Here is a screen shot of the correct setting for Daylight Savings (click on image to see full sized):

We will be upgrading the site to WordPress 3.1 soon. One of the most noticeable changes will be an additional toolbar across the top of your screen when you log in. This new toolbar has buttons for most of the common tasks you’ll perform, such as adding a new page or post, as well as switching to another site’s dashboard. The normal dashboard items are still there to do these things, but now they’re in a more convenient location as well.
