Position Description: Booking Department Intern
Effective Date: Summer and Fall semesters 2012-2013
Our Booking Department is looking to fill an internship position for the Summer and Fall semesters of 2012-2013. Music Business majors are encouraged to apply.
This is a part-time unpaid position for academic credit, with the possibility of future
employment.
Qualifications:
Preferably be a college student currently working towards a Music Business degree
(Freshman level or above)
Must have reliable transportation
Minimum of 10 hours per week
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in creation and issuance of artist contracts
Assist in contract and deposit tracking
Update online tour schedules

Program Coordinator- Social Networking

This position is a limited-term position in the Consulting group of the Octagon offices located in Huntersville, North Carolina. Candidates will assist in multiple facets of marketing against the client sponsorship.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Support and monitoring of social networking activities, e.g. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube:
Compiling and uploading content
Monitoring of online sites
Maintain measurement and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Develop and execute event schedules for race weekend and auxiliary appearances
Manage travel and coordinate appearances and other scheduled activities
Assist in on-site event support as needed
Record and recap weekly program activities
Source and organize event imagery
Assist with planning and implementation of other projects as assigned
Position requires some travel (approx. 40%), including weekends and some holidays
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of sports marketing and social media techniques
Personal or professional proficiency and use of social networking site strongly preferred, specifically Facebook and Twitter
Prefer a candidate with an interest in or major in Sports Marketing, PR or Athlete Management
At least one previous marketing or PR-related internship/position preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently
Strong skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Power Point and Excel
Experience with photo and video editing software (Photoshop, iMovie, etc) preferred

Internships are available for all stations in many departments: Promotions, Programming, Production, Sales and Web Development.
Entercom Greensboro offers an opportunity for students to apply classroom theory to practical work experience. Our internship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the radio broadcasting industry. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends.
Internships are available year-round, and are 12-15 hours per week, with specific days and times agreed upon in advance. All interns must be enrolled in a College or University and receiving college credit. Students are expected to obtain and complete any forms necessary to receive credit for the internship experience. INTERNS ARE NON-PAID POSITIONS.
