Correct me if I’m wrong, but how exactly does this candidate see the process working out to their benefit? The original candidate, Ozen, at least wants to further the voices of a constituency. If Can gets the winning votes, she effectively throws away the influence that she gained by rightful voting. And it is doubtful that the post would simply remain unoccupied. And why does she have to be a transsexual? Do they think that only one transsexual can challenge another transsexual for political dominance in what appears to be a superfluous election process. In my opinion, Can would be better off just letting Ozen run this race for the reasons previously mentioned. And lastly, I don’t mean to be crass, but Ozen says that Turkish citizens only know gay people in context of entertainment, and she makes her living singing in bars two nights a week.
