Goose Creek State Park (Washington)-
Giant, old oaks draped in Spanish moss welcome you to this special world where broad, lazy Goose Creek joins the Pamlico River. A primitive camping area, picnic sites, swim beach and hiking and paddling trails offer a variety of ways to savor the tranquil surroundings at Goose Creek State Park. Goose Creek is conveniently located between historic Bath and the original Washington.

Greenville’s Greenways-
(Why? Enjoy walking, jogging or biking along the Tar River or green mill run BWEARE-Night time use not allowed, always walk with friend for safety)
Pick up the trail at the Town Common or (recommended) Green Springs Park
Extreme Park (Jaycee Park)-
The Recreation and Parks Department built its first skate ramp in the early 90’s after receiving a petition from over 100 parents and kids that had no place to ride except in the streets of Greenville. From this small wooden ramp to the present day, skateboarding, as well as the BMX Bike freestyle riding, has grown by leaps and bounds all over the United States as well as Greenville. We now have the #1 and #2 BMX riders in the world living in Greenville
(Why? If you play extreme sports, this is the only public place around to practice your vert and half-pipe skills)

Bicycle Post Trails-
The Bicycle Post is Greenville’s premiere Bicycle store, they sponsor group rides and also have private trails for mountain bike enthusiasts.
The trails are on private land. If you want to use the trails you must:
1. Sign a waiver at either of the Bicycle Post locations.
2. Either become an EC Velo club member or pay a daily rate of $2 deposited in a drop box at the trail head.
(Why? Great terrain for bikers and a fun walk as well. Also check out any organized rides the Bicycle Post may be sponsoring soon around the area!)

West Meadowbrook Park Disc Golf Course-
Begins and ends at shelter. Dual tees and alt. pin placements. Good mix of tight control and open shots. Errant shots punished by rough and OB.
(Why? Monday Night Doubles during the summer, CTP and Ace pools, neat course for players of all skill levels, everyone comes out to the meadow.)

North Recreation Complex (NRC)-
The North Recreational Complex located on Highway 264 East (10 minutes from main campus) features eight multipurpose activity fields. The property also includes 6 acres of water for fishing and boating, a sunbathing sand beach, fitness equipment, a .5 mile trail around the lake, sand volley ball, corn-hole and 18 hole disc golf course. Our brand new Odyssey High Challenge Course at NRC is approximately 40ft tall and has 8 distinct high elements. The main course is 120ft long with two 300ft zip lines as option to finish the course. Free kayaks, disc golf discs, sand volleyball, cornhole, and sunbathing for all ECU students and CRW members.
(Why? Free disc golf, free kayak rentals, picnic shelters, inter-mural sports, and a private inland beach. This place is great!)

Student Recreation Center-
This is the ECU Gym, weight machines, treadmills, indoor track, basketball courts, yoga classes, work out studios and classes and more. Off campus adventures are always being scheduled too. Go check out what is coming up!
(Why? Stay in shape, get moving, and try out some fun “off the wall” activities like racquetball or rock-climbing)

Covenant Disc Golf Course (Winterville)-
On Covenant Church property. 1st tee at the back of Main Campus parking. Features water holes, tight woods, and a number of boomers. Signature hole is #8 (Mt. Humility) – a double bogey is as likely as a birdie.
(Why? Technical and lengthy, if you’re looking for a great challenge in your disc golf game this is it!)

Mendenhall Student Center-
MSC Recreations provides daily opportunities for our constituents to enjoy arcade games, bowling, billiards, and table tennis. Our facilities offer space for parties, group activities, bands, and other special events. We sponsor bowling and billiards leagues, video game tournaments, and ACUI qualifying tournaments for regional competitions
(Why? Early bird bowling specials, billiards tables, and just a fun environment right on campus.)

Bradford Creek Golf Course-
Bradford Creek Public Golf Course is a true public course, ideal for golfers of all skill levels, while offering challenges to the most experienced golfers who wish to play the back tees. Our course features excellent Bentgrass greens that are considered some of the best in the region.
(Why? Summer specials 5 pm – dusk all you can play, and a perfectly relaxing 18 hole course)
