CAHS Serving the Community

Did you know the College of Allied Health Sciences serves the local community through the provision of several patient care clinics?

The Fall Risk Assessment Clinic is manned by a health care team consisting of a physical therapist, occupational therapist, pharmacist, social worker, nurse and physician. The team evaluates patients 60 and older for their risk of falls – all during one appointment – and give personalized recommendations to avoid falls. The clinic collaborates with patients’ primary care physicians, who also receive a copy of the assessment.  For more information and appointments: 252-744-2045

Faculty and supervised graduate students in the Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic provide diagnostic and therapy for communication disorders to children and adults in areas related to speech, language, voice, stuttering, aphasia, ALS, and hearing loss. Appointments: 252-744-6104.
