ECU CJ Stat Lab at the Pirate Tutoring Center (PTC)

Welcome!
Thank you for visiting the web page for the Criminal Justice Peer-Tutoring Stat Lab!   This Stat Lab first opened its doors to students in JUST3900 (Introductory Statistics for Criminal Justice) in the spring of 2013 and has operated ever since then on Thursday nights from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Pirate Tutoring Center (PTC) in the Old Cafeteria Building.  Individualized tutoring by appointment was also initiated in the spring of 2013.  Because the lab is staffed with volunteers and resourced with donated materials (textbooks and calculators) from CENGAGE Learning, all peer-tutoring services are available free-of-charge for any student who is registered in Dr. Kerbs’ section(s) of JUST3900.  Using the top bar to navigate through this website, you will find usable information regarding (a) this term’s peer tutors, (b) winners of the Top Gun Statistician Awards, (c) the course syllabus, (d) Power Point slides for the entire semester, (e) materials developed by peer tutors to include helpful Power Point presentations with tips for completing weekly Aplia homework assignments, (f) the application process for students interested in becoming peer tutors, and (g) the reappointment process for peer tutors who wish to continue their work at the PTC following an initial appointment.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the CJ Peer-Tutoring Stat Lab, please feel free to contact Dr. John Kerbs via email (kerbsj@ecu.edu), phone (252-328-5546), or call the Pirate Tutoring Center (252-737-3009).
