Laupus Library will host its annual ‘Food ‘n Fun’ break for its students on Tuesday, April 28th from 6-8pm in the 4th floor exhibit gallery . Pizza, drinks, healthy snacks, coffee and more will be provided to students at no cost on behalf of the library. A variety of games, coloring stations, and a “frustration wall” will be available to students needing to take a break to ease the tension of impending exams.
Today at 4:30 Laupus Library will host a new discussion series entitled “Speaking Volumes: A Book Discussion Series Focusing on the Health Sciences.”
Today’s inaugural program will showcase the recently published book, Global Health Nursing: Narratives from the Field. Our very own College of Nursing chapter contributor, Dr. Kim L. Larson will present along with book editor, Christina A. Harlan (UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing) and chapter contributors Marie Collins Donahue (UNC Children’s Hospital), Christina Martinez Kim (Duke University Health Systems), and Ruth-Ann McLendon (Johns Hopkins Medical Center).
Gloria Flippin Graham, MD, recently won the North Carolina’s Doctor of the Year Award from the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS). The NCMS started this program as a way for individuals to honor physicians who are passionate about their patients, experts in treatment care and make a positive impact in the life of their community.
