The Laupus Library History Collections presents a new exhibit, “Nature’s Remedies: Traditions of Botanical Medicine,” currently on display in the Evelyn Fike Laupus Gallery on the 4th Floor of Laupus Library.
This display from The Country Doctor Museum explores the history of using herbs and other plants as remedies and preventatives. From botanical oils and apothecary tins to rhubarb and ginger, the exhibit showcases objects used by ordinary consumers, druggists and medical practitioners in their search for relief and well-being.
To learn more about the exhibit and related works, come by the Laupus Library History Collections located on the 4th floor of the library or contact one of the members of the department to schedule a tour or a reference appointment.
The exhibit will run through August 21, 2017.
