2011 Michael F. Bassman Honors – Thesis Awards

Joyner Library is pleased to announce that nominations are sought for the 2nd Annual Michael F. Bassman Honors Thesis Award.

The Award recognizes excellence in research and writing by students in East Carolina University's Honors College. The award is sponsored by the Joyner Library and honors Dr. Michael F. Bassman, Associate Professor of Foreign Languages & Literatures, formerly Associate Vice Chancellor of the Honors Program, and its first Distinguished Honors Professor.

One Honors College winner is selected each year. The winner receives a cash award of $500. The prize will be awarded at a reception in Joyner Library on Reading Day, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 2409 of Joyner Library. Theses submitted for graduation in December 2010, Spring 2011, Summer 2011, or already completed for December 2011 will be considered in this award cycle.

The deadline for submitting applications for the 2011 award is October 28, 2011.
