Dr. Alex K. Manda is an associate professor of Water Resources in the Department of Geological Sciences and a research scientist in the Institute for Coastal Science and Policy at East Carolina University. Dr. Manda’s research interests include assessing groundwater-surface water interactions, investigating hydrologic properties of fractured rocks and karst media, simulating groundwater flow in various media, and evaluating coastal hydrogeology. Dr. Manda earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Cardiff University (UK) and his Masters Degree in Geology from Florida International University. He earned his PhD in Geosciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he specialized in the hydrogeology of fractured rocks.
