Family and Consumer Sciences

The Family and Consumer Sciences Master of Arts in Teaching program at East Carolina University is designed for persons who hold undergraduate degrees in Family and Consumer Sciences related fields like apparel and textiles, interior design, dietetics, nutrition, child development, or family community services and who wish to become middle or high school family and consumer sciences teachers. The goal of the program is to fully prepare, both in subject matter and pedagogical knowledge, individuals who will be effective, powerful leaders in their classrooms, their schools, and their profession.
