A radiologic review of the horseshoe kidney. Attention is paid to the embryogenesis of the normal and horseshoe kidneys, the clinical presentation, radiologic manifestations (ultrasound, cat scan, and intravenous pyelogram) and the numerous complications arising from this embryologic malformation.
