A succinct review of the landmark clinical trials in nephrolithiasis. This presentation highlights the pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinical diagnosis and treatment of the four most common kidney stones in the US. Special attention is paid to the scientific evidence behind the pathogenesis of calcareous and uric acid stone formation.
