Joyner Library at East Carolina University will host an Edible Book Festival April 6 on the second floor of the library. The festival celebrates books and food and the people who love them.

A silent auction held during the event benefits the Joyner Library Preservation Fund. A demonstration of techniques and capabilities of the library’s Conservation Lab is also planned.

Organizers of the event urge participants to enter with a piece of edible art related to books. The art can make a pun on a book’s title, refer to a scene or a character, look like a book or just be related to books. All entries must be edible. Examples can be found online by searching for “edible book festival.”
