If you are competing in RCAW this year, make plans to attend a workshop to help you become a more confident and effective presenter!  The previous year’s workshops are listed below with links to watch the recording.  As the event approaches, these will be replaced with this year’s workshops.

 

Poster  Presentation Workshop:  Tuesday, March 14, 2017 | 4:00 – 5:00 PM | Joyner Library 1418

This workshop will help you design a visually appealing and effectively organized poster as well learn dynamic delivery skills to present your presentation.

Oral Presentation Workshop:  Thursday, March 16, 2017 | 4:00 – 5:00 PM | Joyner Library 1418

This workshop will help you understand how to effectively organize the content of your oral presentation, learn how to effectively communicate your research to your audience using dynamic delivery skills, and understand how to correctly use library resources.

Personalized Workshop:  Thursday, March 23, 2017 | 4:00 – 5:00 PM | Joyner Library 1418

This workshop is all about you! Bring a pdf of your poster or the content of your oral presentation and receive helpful feedback on the posters you have designed, or the oral presentation that you have prepared. You will also have time to practice your presentation, and you will receive focused guidance on library resources to make you research presentations dynamic.

Judging Workshops

If you are a graduate student planning to be a judge at RCAW, you must attend one of the judging workshops below (unless you have judged at RCAW before). Postdocs/faculty/staff judging volunteers are also welcome to attend.  (Undergraduate students should not attend).  For more information about judging at RCAW, and for the link to a survey to volunteer as a judge, see the Judging page on this site (linked at the top of this page). The workshop information will be posted below as the event approaches.
