Red Bull is looking for a Communications Intern to join the team this summer in Atlanta, GA. The incumbant will participate in the strategic positioning of our brand within all aspects of media including print, television, the Web and be responsible for media outreach, press development, event communications and reporting. The internship geographically encompasses select events and projects in the South Business providing unique opportunities to gain hands-on capability and insight into the daily operations of growing a global brand. Responsibilities will vary, but at the end of the day this experience is what you make of it.

  • BLOGGER AND ONLINE MEDIA Research bloggers and online influencers who could positively impact our awareness goalsDevelop strategy, custom pitch materials and content for blogs and online news not otherwise covered under mainstream media

    Execute a blogger and online influencer outreach program for select Red Bull events

    Monitor and report on Red Bull event coverage and success of blogger outreach program

  • MEDIA OUTREACH / PUBLICITY Draft media alerts and press releasesOrganize / mail press kits and product samples

    Add events to local calendar listings

    dentify key, previously unknown media relationships the business unit should develop and exploit

    Create actionable plan for regular contact and updates to key media targets in our business unit

  • EVENTS Create / maintain attending media listsAttend and support the media function at select events

    Ensure proper media information drafted, on site and available to press

    Host media on site, be a point of contact for registration and other needs

    Draft event recaps

  • RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS Research past events to identify improvement strategies for 2014, directly related to media and publicityIdentify story types and content with greatest success in generating wide awareness

    Uncover soft targets in media for low-investment, high-return outcomes

    Draft report on findings with prescriptive actions for maximizing media impact in our communications

  • Candidates from journalism, public relations or communications degree tracks required.

  • Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish considered an advantage
