Changing Lives – One relay at a time!
On Your Mark, Get Set, Go Relay For Life !
Cancer. Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a man or a woman than this word. While the American Cancer Society is making progress toward a world without cancer, only with your dedication and fundraising efforts can we finish the fight against the disease.
At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much.
Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
With your help, we aren’t just fighting one type of cancer – we’re fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Each person who shares the Relay For Life experience can take pride in knowing that they are working to create a world where this disease will no longer threaten our loved ones or rob anyone of another birthday.
Let’s make a difference in the lives of our family, friends, and co-workers. We can fight cancer one relay at a time in our community! Let’s paint it purple ECU!
Show your support and use your community service leave to volunteer for this worthy event!
