Are you a runner looking for something different, or maybe someone that wants to volunteer for something unique and fun? Well, the Great Glow Run is for you! The Spring 2014 Glow run is scheduled for May 3, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. in the Greenville Town Commons. This event is being sponsored by the Easter Seals, UPC along with community partners Century 21 and BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina and 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Easter Seals UCP!
The weather will be better and if you like to run small (5K) courses, this event is for you so get your glow on!! Participants of all ages and abilities will dress in their favorite glow gear and shine their brightest while making a difference for people with disabilities and mental health challenges. The course is certified and will be lit with LED and black lights while “glowing volunteers” guide the way. The Glow Run events are also held in Wilmington, Raleigh, New Bern, and Fayetteville so the following is huge.
The fun doesn’t end with the run! There will also be music, costume contests, race prizes and amazing eye-entertaining sites! Join in on this “illuminating” experience and make a difference with every step you take!
