Founders Day/Awards Day Convocation

Founders Day/Awards Day Convocation set

The fourth annual Founders Day/University Awards Day Convocation is set for Wednesday, May 1 at 9:00 a.m. in Hendrix Theater.  The convocation provides an opportunity to celebrate the establishment of East Carolina Teachers Training School on March 8, 1907 — 106 years ago and to celebrate the recipients of the University’s top awards in teaching, research/creative achievement, scholarship of engagement, the Centennial Awards for Excellence, and induction into the Servire Society for students, faculty, and staff.

This is held on “reading day” so there are no class conflicts.  There will be a reception immediately following the convocation.

Founders Day events have not been announced due to ongoing planning.
