What’s to love about ECU?
My name is Jack Prager. I’m a junior Business Administration major concentrating on finance here at ECU. If all goes well, I plan to graduate in the spring! I started blogging for the Admissions office since my freshman year, and I’ve been doing it ever since. It’s been a great way to interact with prospective students and help them with the college decision process.
It’s hard to find students who don’t love East Carolina University. There is always something going on near campus. Starting school in a new place can be overwhelming, but you meet people wherever you go yet it still has that “small school” comfort feeling. Come for a tour and you’ll find that we have more school spirit than most. That was a big deciding factor when I was choosing colleges. During football season, everyone dresses in purple and gold and cheers for the Pirates!
The best thing about ECU is the opportunities it gives the students. One of the most important things you can do for yourself here is take advantage of all the chances to get involved. ECU has hundreds of different clubs and organizations. I have been a part of many extracurricular activities over the past 2 years. They are Student Activity Board, Adventure Club, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
My most recent accomplishments have been pledging Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity, and mentoring for Business Emerging Leaders. Getting involved is a great way to put you out there and meet as many people as possible.
ECU has everything you could possibly want in a school. If you’re doubtful, schedule a tour and see just how much fun it is here!
