Rachel Siragusa – Proud Pirate

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be a part of this blogging experience and to get a chance to interact with others who love ECU as much as I do! I am a junior studying Hospitality Management with a concentration in Conventions and Special Events. I transferred to ECU from Appalachian State University after my first semester of freshman year, and I have never been happier! Coming to ECU was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I serve as the Campus Relations Liaison for Pirate Planners, a Hospitality Management organization on campus. I am also a member of Delta Zeta sorority. I have a passion for learning other languages and discovering foreign cultures, and I am especially passionate about serving others and the community around me. Unrelated to academics, my favorite things include: anything pink and/or sparkly, baby animals, dancing, baseball, Mexican and Italian food, warm weather, and country music.

During Spring, one of my favorite activities is attending ECU Baseball games. I absolutely love how much school spirit there is on our campus, especially surrounding our sport teams. Purple and gold can be found not only all over our campus, but also all throughout Greenville. If you have never been to an ECU sporting event, then you are seriously missing out!

I can not wait to continue blogging and sharing my experiences at ECU with you! If you have any questions I may be able to answer, want to talk about what being a student at ECU is like, or just want to chat about how awesome our school is, please feel free to email me at siragusar11@students.ecu.edu.

Have an AWESOME weekend! And if your spring break is coming up soon – have FUN and stay SAFE!
