Hey everyone!

This week is homecoming! It is always such an exciting time of the year for ECU students. Homecoming is a week long event that brings all the students together. This year, our theme was “Shipwrecked in Pirate Nation”. Events were kicked off with our Cannon Ball Relay Race on Sunday, the banner competition on Monday, the lawn competition and the skit competition on Wednesday, the canned food drive on Thursday, the pep rally on ¬†Friday, and the float competition, parade, and game on Saturday! A lot of ECU’s organizations come together to compete in each of these events. It’s a week that all students look forward to throughout the fall semester.

This year we were also fortunate enough to have J. Cole perform Thursday evening for our homecoming concert! ECU’s Student Activities Board always tries to get great performers to come out for different events such as the homecoming concert and Barefoot on the Mall (an event held in the spring).

Have a great weekend and GO PIRATES!

About Jocelyn

I am a senior, Health Services Management major from Cary, North Carolina (15 minutes outside of Raleigh). East Carolina University was my first and only choice for school and I have not regretted my decision since. I love being involved on campus. Some organizations I am a part of are the Future Healthcare Managers of ECU, Pirate-to-Pirate Mentoring, ECU HOSA, and Phi Mu Fraternity. I hold officer positions with both ECU HOSA and Phi Mu Fraternity. I hope you love East Carolina University as much as I do! Go Pirates!
