Hi everyone! I hope your week was a good one, mine just flew by for me. I have been helping my organization, the American Marketing Association, prepare for our upcoming fundraiser we will be having Monday, November 18th through Wednesday, November 20th. We will be selling wine glasses, large mugs, and smaller coffee mugs, plus ornaments. All the glasses and mugs are going to be $5 each and the ornaments are $3 each. Since I am the Vice President of Communications & Social Media of the AMA, it has been my job to help spread the word about our fundraiser through posting on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

We have been working hard decorating the mugs and glasses to sell and it allows for members of the organization to get to know each other better. I strongly encourage everyone to join an organization as early as they can, this is only my first year getting involved and now that I am actively participating, I wish I had joined sooner. Joining organizations and building connections with your fellow classmates will pave the way for your future. Connections in the business world can mean the difference between success and failure, and being involved also gives you a chance to learn more about yourself and how you work with those around you. If you want to know any information about organizations on campus, you should visit the Office of Student Activities and Organizations website and find an organization that you would like to be a part of.

Here are some pictures of the mugs and glasses that we have been decorating this week 🙂

About Shannon Parrish

Hey y'all! My name is Shannon Parrish and I am a senior here at ECU. Go PIRATES! I only have 1 more semester before I complete my Marketing and Supply Chain Management double concentration through the College of Business. Until a few months ago, I worked as a tour guide for the Undergraduate Admissions Office on campus at the Whichard building. I feel like being a tour guide definitely fit my personality well :) I consider myself a very bubbly person and it makes me really happy to be able to share my experiences these past four years at ECU. I hope to be able to show you why I love this campus so much so that maybe one day, you will be a PIRATE too! Arrrrgggghhhhh
