I am really jealous that you guys get to start your freshman year of college! It is very exciting yet a little nerve wracking, I am sure. If I was given the chance to go back in time, I would go back to my freshman year. A little word of advice- Branch out and meet new people! There is nothing wrong with continuing your friendships from high school, but it is so exhilarating to meet new people from all over the world. I met people from Australia, Serbia and Belgium just by talking with people in my dorm! You have the chance to start all over. Forget what happened in high school, because none of that matters anymore. This is a new beginning full of opportunities, take advantage of it!

My name is Kathryn Grabosky, I am 22 years old and going in to my second senior year. I switched my major kind of late in the game therefore setting me back a year. That’s okay, when graduation rolled around this year I realized I was no where close to ready! I started my college career studying Business Marketing, but decided to switch to the College of Communications. So, currently working on my major but have completed my business administration minor. I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and attended Millbrook High School. Little did I know when I applied to ECU, I would be going to college with everyone I graduated high school with. I work for the Admissions Office now, but have worked in numerous restaurants to pay for school. I lived with my two best friends Kaity and Jenny, but Kaity moved out and is currently in Grenada finishing out her Spanish degree. Jenny and I will be moving to the grid in a two bedroom duplex and we could not be more excited. She has a little shih tzu named Belle and I have a cat named Phoebe. We both have an extra year and we are going to make the most of it! You’ll be surprised at how fast the time will fly by.

Anywho.. I plan to blog about my experiences and what I have learned at East Carolina starting from the beginning. STAY TUNED 🙂
