Pirates are ready to take on the world, together
I don’t know what hit me first when I arrived on campus four years ago to start my freshman year: the beautiful campus, the picturesque buildings, the trees, or the people with big smiles ready to receive me as one of their fellow Pirates. All I know is that the atmosphere of the campus was so welcoming that I didn’t even notice the point when my blood started changing from red to purple and gold!
After being here for four years, I have seen a lot of what ECU has to offer: rigorous academic programs, engaging faculty, competitive athletic programs, and exciting student life opportunities. But the thing that influenced me the most was the people.
The friends that I made my freshman year are still my friends today. Granted, some have graduated and are off making their own impact on the world, but I know that I have made lifelong friends. East Carolina has become my second home, and I know it will be yours, too. Welcome to Pirate Nation!
