You guys made the right choice in considering ECU as one of your choices for a higher education. My name is Abby Forman. I’m a senior Communication major, with a concentration in Public Relations, and a Business Administration minor. I will be graduating in May 2012!
Coming from a small beach town in New Jersey, deciding to attend ECU was a drastic change from my current life. Yet, it only took me a week to be able to call this campus home.
There wonderful opportunities offered to students here. To name each one of them would be impossible! One opportunity offered to me was an internship in NYC through the School of Communication. I had an incredible experience during this internship. I was able to put my knowledge from the classroom and apply it in a real-world job setting. I was able to use what I learned and turn it into real work for a profitable company while gaining college credit at the same time! ECU gave me the skills I needed to perform successfully at my job and helped me find a job that was the right fit.
It is hard to say and even unbelievable to think that I am leaving this place in less than a year. I’ve had the most incredible experiences and I had many opportunities that I didn’t think were possible. These led me to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions where I became the Marketing and Public Affairs intern! I am confident that this internship along with my other experiences here, I am prepared for anything that comes my way in the future!
