First thesis defense of the semester

On behalf of the MTL faculty, I would like to congratulate Loretta Johnson Elliott for successfully defending her thesis on the “Ethnic Bildungsroman,” a study of the coming-of-age narrative as illustrated by The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros; The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian by Sherman Alexie; and American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang.
