As part of the Biology Department, the Ables Lab is housed in the newly renovated Science and Technology Building at East Carolina University, located in Greenville, NC.
Where is Greenville?
Conveniently located about 1.5 hours from Raleigh, NC (to the west) and 1.5 hours (or less) to the beautiful Outer Banks of NC (to the east). Greenville is a small town, with a big college. 🙂
East Carolina University
At a population of approximately 27,000 students, ECU is the third largest school in the University of North Carolina system. East Carolina University, a member of the 17-campus University of North Carolina System, is classified as a Doctoral/Research-Intensive University and enrolls around 29,000 students, with over 5,500 pursuing graduate and professional degrees. Originally formed as a teaching college, the university now encompasses several different schools, including the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences and the Brody School of Medicine.
